Teena's

Haiku

Haiku is Japanese poetry with 5-7-5 syllables for each line.  I am half Japanese so I am  feel a connection to it.  Here are some Haiku's I wrote about my children:

Just outside playing
Voices with musical sounds
Laughing and giggling

(this one is for my daughter)

Smiles of a child
Holding weeds picked from the yard
A gift for mother

Tiny face looking up
Eyes sparkling glowing with love
Embracing me close

What I really love
Is the times spent together
Big hugs and kisses

Long ago a boy
Growing upward towards the sky
Now I see a man

I hear you crying
I hold you close in my arms
I will keep you safe

Rock a bye baby
In my loving arms you sleep
Face so angelic
